Gerald BrownPastor

Pastor Gerald is the founding pastor of LifeWay Community Church. He and his wife Amy have three Children, Jack, Grace & Sam. Pastor Gerald and Amy moved to the Lake Mary-Sanford area in 1998 to found and pastor LifeWay Community Church. Gerald’s relevant, high-energy teaching style delivered with a unique sense of humor helps each listener young and old connect to God’s unchanging truth of God’s love. From humble beginnings in their apartment with just a few members to now over 20 years later, Both Gerald & his wife Amy have an unquenchable excitement and love for people of all ages. Their hearts beat for the life change that happens when people meet God and begin to experience His incredible love and mercy. Terry SindleWorship Pastor

Terry has a heart for creating a meeting place for God and His people through worship. With a passion for both music and ministry, he seeks to cultivate an atmosphere where the church can encounter God in a real and life-changing way.

He has been serving in worship ministry for over 10 years, blending his love for contemporary worship with a deep desire to meet God’s people right where they are. Beyond leading songs, Terry believes worship is about helping people connect with God, grow in their faith, and respond to His goodness.

When he’s not serving on Sundays, Terry loves spending time with his wife Emily, and their three children, Terrance, Heath, and Elle. Whether at the beach, hiking, or exploring local farmers markets, he values time together with family. He is deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve the LifeWay Church family and to witness God move through the power of worship.

Joy PaikaiDirector of Children's Ministry

Joy is the Director of Children’s Ministry at Lifeway. Joy lives with her husband John and two children, Kaili and Samuel, in Lake Mary. Joy’s passion is to see children grow in their relationship with God and each other. She desires for every child to know Jesus and to understand His great love for them. Joy taught in the public school system for 7 years and in Christian education for 7 years before God called her to full-time children’s ministry. She enjoys hanging out with her family and pets and reading books in her free time.

Caryn CarsonDirector of Outreach and Discipleship

Caryn serves as the Director of Outreach and Discipleship at Lifeway Church. She seeks opportunities to reach out in the community and help church members grow in their knowledge of God’s Word and their relationship with Christ. She serves in the youth area and leads short-term missions. Caryn’s passion is sharing the good news of Jesus Christ through everyday conversations and teaching others how to share their faith. She seeks to make sure Discipleship is a significant component of missions and loving people right where they are, knowing God wants to transform them. Caryn has served in women’s ministry, youth, and disaster recovery ministry for 30 years. Caryn lives at home with her husband Ron and son, Justin. She also has two adult children, Linda and Derek. Her family is her greatest blessing from God, apart from salvation and a personal relationship with Him.

Linda Fowler Administrative Assistant

Linda has worked in banking and healthcare, education and Christian magazine publishing. She has over 13 years of experience as an assistant to a pastoral staff in a church setting. Coming out of a corporate setting into ministry, she quickly learned that she loves working with people and helping wherever she can. Her goal as the administrative assistant here at LifeWay is to help our staff wherever she can and to make their area of ministry run smoothly. This way it allows them to focus on what they are trying to accomplish. She enjoys getting to know people who attend LifeWay and do her part to make your worship experience here each week meaningful. Her education is in music, but her passion is in serving. Her husband, Bill, and she have raised 3 incredible boys. They all married well and now we have 3 wonderful daughters-in-law and 4 amazing grandchildren. She has several hobbies that she loves to engage in, but being with her family makes her heart happy. Something you may not know about her is that she was raised on a 300 acre farm in Pennsylvania. She raised cattle and rode horses in local events.

Jason TurnerCare Pastor

Pastor Jason is one of Sanford’s own—born just a few blocks from the church and raised right here in the community he now serves.

He has a heart for people and a genuine desire to see them grow in their walk with the Lord. He loves to serve, to listen, and to encourage others, always striving to reflect Christ in every relationship. His greatest passions are preaching Christ and seeing Him glorified.

Having grown up in the world, Pastor Jason understands the struggles people face and uses his own past as a powerful testimony of God’s grace and ability to transform lives.

Pastor Jason’s heart for ministry is rooted in love. He wants everyone who crosses his path to feel valued, welcomed, and cared for. When he’s not serving others, he enjoys quiet moments of solitude in nature, where he finds peace and renewal in the presence of God and the beauty of His creation.
